After the demise of one of our generation’s greatest heavy rock bands, Kyuss vocalist, and founding member, John Garcia went forth and delivered.
From the ashes of the short lived project Slo Burn, John Garcia, along with Arthur Seay and Mike Canino, put together what was to become the next truly great installment in John Garcia’s musical legacy, and that band was UNIDA!

Comparing Unida to Kyuss is inevitable, Garcia’s signature vocals are unquestionable, and in Unida, they’re unmistakable. Sonically speaking though, the heavy riffs created in Unida, much like those in Kyuss before them, would go on to become the quintessential sound of the Southern California desert rock stoner metal scene.
A scene, and sound, that countless bands from all over the globe would go onto emulate.

After a handful of releases and an amicable hiatus in the early 2000’s, Unida have finally risen from the grave and reformed the core of their original line up. They’ve resurrected the riffs, sound, tone, and songs that made them one of the most respected bands in the late 90’s Southern Californian stoner metal scene.

For the first time ever, Unida will be touring Australia and New Zealand this May!
